Emilia Skjegstad
Emilia grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and started dancing at the age of 3. She found her deep love and passion for dance at the very beginning. She danced competitively at Lake Area Dance Center for 13 years and later at Summit Dance Shoppe for 3 years.She has achieved many high achievements and standout awards along the way of her competitive dance journey. Emilia has been on elite teams with each studio and has always wanted to be a role model for dancers she teaches, assists, and mentors. She has been assisting for 8 years and has worked with dancers of all ages. Emilia was fortunate to attend a performing arts high school (SPCPA) expanding a deeper knowledge of movement styles. She adapted quickly to all of the different genres of dance. She found a deep love for break dancing, funk styles, Choreography lab and modern dance. Emilia has been able to train in a variety of styles and is a versatile dancer but specializes in contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. She is now living in Los Angeles California, training at Millenium Dance Complex, Tmilly Tv, Eighty eight studios,and Mirhan K studios. Emilia had an unforgettable experience working on set as a backup dancer for Belle Lundons new music video “in my head.'' She is also in the works of pursuing acting and modeling on the side from dancing. Emilia hopes to continue sharing her passion and love for dancing, inspiring the next generation of dancers.
